All we know that many Brazilians and from all over the world’s ecosystems are seriously threatened. Many species of plants and animals are being extinguished, but they weren’t at least discovered, rivers are more and more polluted and some rivers are evaporating due to the destruction of the ciliary forests and forests are disappearing in an incredible speed. And it’s about those troubles mentioned above that we watch news on TVs, internet, radios and newspapers every day, every moment. We know that all those problems are happening with more and more frequency, but we don’t do anything to change those situations. We speak bad about the government – we say that the rulers don't make anything for the environment etc – but what are we doing? What are you - that is reading this text right now – doing to get better the world that we live in?

Although the rulers have the obligation of to preserve the nature, we have their same obligation, because before they’re rulers they’re citizens, common people, like each one of us. The obligation of to preserve is not only my, the Peca’s founder or of another organization of environmental preservation, although some people think that. The obligation of to preserve is mine, yours and of everybody, and now it’s the time that if we don’t change our actions, soon it’ll be too late.

Of some years ago for here, the world watched events that the cientists believed that they’d just happen many years ahead. Hurricanes and tornados are destroying hole cities, tsunamis are happening every time with more frequency, periods of drought of great duration, there’s not enough drinkable water to all the people etc. Everything that just happened because of the irresponsible action of the man in the nature. We really can to develop in a responsible way. A country can be rich, it can have a great economy and to preserve the environment, because if we have enough money to invest in unnecessary wars, we have too enough money to invest in researches of new technologies that attack less the environment.

We can change, we just need to want to do it, and I’m sure that we’ll get to win this fight. Join us and come to be a peace warrior.
